Another booksigning date to announce, for those of you who live in southern Indiana. I’ll be at the Barnes and Noble in Bloomington on April 2nd, from 2 – 4 pm.
It’s a beautiful day here and I spent most of it outside. I should have been writing, but I think the sunshine was worth a skipped day. Yes. Light = Good. I need to get out more often. I probably need to listen to the news, too, though when I turned on the tv today, the major headline was that Michael Jackson had been rushed to the hospital for the flu. Considering everything else going on in the world, that ranks low on my idea of interesting news.
Okay, I take that back. It is interesting, in a “Whoa, one more thing to add to the saga” sort of way, but I just think there are better ways to spend my time. I also can’t listen because Michael Jackson now turns my stomach. I used to love his music – his artistry – and I guess I still do – but I can’t listen to it anymore without associating the singer with all sorts of crazy terrible stuff. MJ might just be innocent of molestation, but I suspect that he’s not innocent of being a dirty old man with a playground in his backyard.
On the new book front: My hero just woke up in a nasty place in a nasty position, and he’s about to fight with a very nasty man who has been trying to do nasty things to my heroine. I don’t think this is going to be a cheerful book, but give it another thirty thousand words and I might just change my tune.
