I doubt many of you would be surprised to learn that I have a healthy respect for the existence of Bigfoot. I’ve never seen one, but I know (and trust) someone who has — and besides, it’s a big mysterious world, and I think there’s enough circumstantial evidence supporting this cryptid marvel that I feel comfortable assuming that in some parts of the world there are small groups of hairy upright types living in secret.
I mention this only because my grandfather showed me this front page news of his local paper:
Wheee! Wowza! Best holiday season ever!
So, I’m listening to Tony Bennett’s new Duets II album, and thinking about this upcoming novel that’s hitting shelves next week: The Mortal Bone, next in the Hunter Kiss series. Not the last, by the way. There’s at least one more. Also out is a new short story set in the same universe: “The Silver Voice”, told from Grant’s point of view. If you’ve ever wanted a glimpse of more Lightbringers, this is your chance. It also foreshadows some of the themes in The Mortal Bone, which finds Maxine ripped from Zee and the boys.
If you have questions about the Hunter Kiss series, feel free to ask. In the meantime, I’ll be posting excerpts, a new wallpaper from Kalman Andrasofszky, and other exclusives from the novel — from now until the release.
