At 36,000 feet…

20 Sep

That number is right where I’m at, sitting on a Delta flight that also offers access to wireless.  Love it.  Spent the last couple days hopping around from one city to another, and I won’t be slowing down any time soon.  I love that, too.  It’s pushing me to be a better writer, and by that, I mean — I don’t have time to over think what I’m putting down on the page.  I’m grabbing what moments I can and then just going full-out stream-of-consciousness.  Pushing forward instead of constantly retrenching to edit (over and over, without making progress).  Any long-term reader of this blog will know that’s a problem of mine.

There’s a new interview with me at the Singaporean blog, Incoherent Boy.  I talk comics.

Also, this great interview with Benjamin Marra: “I’m trying to be someone who doesn’t understand what they’re doing.”

Here’s an article about an abandoned Walmart that was converted into a library (ADORE IT) and then, this beautiful love story told in twenty-two photos.

Landing in thirty minutes!

Thank you for this short but sweet post. I have been doing exactly that…editing and rediting instead of getting new words down. Maybe I need to pretend I’m leaving on a jet plane somewhere. Have a fantastic trip!

Wal-mart should have to do something with all those abandoned buildings, like contributing to a concept like that beautiful library.

The love story was just heartbreaking…and breathtaking.
