Cats, dogs, zombies, bad wishes.

Just another reminder — today sees the release of An Apple for the Creature, a great little anthology filled with stories by Charlaine Harris, Ilona Andrews, Mike Carey, and others. Including me! My little tale is called “Sympathy for the Bones” and is about a young girl who must free her soul from the witch who raised her.

And now, some entertainment. We found some great short films online that range from zombies (vs. dogs) to cats on Mars, and a web series about a man who sits in a booth in a restaurant, and grants wishes — for a price.
First up, via io9, this short animated film about…well, cats who live on Mars, and who befriend a NASA rover. Really kooky and adorable:
The Cats of Mars Meet the Toy Car (complete short) from Jacob Stålhammar on Vimeo.
Next, a short film called PLAY DEAD, which tells the stories of several different dogs when zombies come to town. It doesn’t play out quite as we expected, given the set-up — and, a warning, it’s quite bloody — but there are some genuinely fun moments in the film.
Finally, I recommend THE BOOTH AT THE END, which is utterly chilling without even a hint of gore or violence. It’s just two people talking. Actually, a bunch of people taking turns talking to just one man — a man with a singular ability — and it is really, really, good.

Wow- I second your Booth At The End recommendation! Both seasons can be found on HULU. The only slight downside is that while each episode is 20 minutes long, each season has just five episodes.
But it fits perfectly! I’d rather have just five episodes of quality than have to suffer through twenty episodes ( in which ten of the episodes are basically just filling time)
cool its everything i love
