Edinburgh: Part 1

19 Aug

Tomorrow is our last full day in Edinburgh, and it has been non-stop since we landed on Friday morning.  It always takes me a long time to articulate my emotions about a place, but I’ll put one thing out there, real simple:  This is a magnificent city.

What a delight. Of course I’m being nosey and want to know why you are currently in Edinburgh.

There’s no more beautiful city in all the world to me than Edinburgh. I can’t tell you how much I miss it.

Are you there for the International Book Festival, or just the Festival in general?

It is a beautiful place, and I’m glad you got to see it in the glorious weather this weekend. I’ll be interested to hear what you made of it, and what you saw.

So what do you think of all these different literary festivals? Did you find a nice quiet corner and place to have tea?
I bet you came home with a big pile of new books to read.
