Not over, but we continue on.

I flew back from Vancouver only to find myself in the inferno that is Boston. I think the temperatures are supposed to break by Sunday, but we spent yesterday morning installing a new air conditioner (blasting now on high), and basically just taking it easy.
Thank you so much for all the kind words regarding my grandmother. I appreciate them more than I can say. The service was small, but beautiful, and there was a great deal of love throughout the day.
Tomorrow I have a signing here in Boston — at Comicopia from 12 PM – 1:30 PM. I’ll sign novels, comics, anything you like — so please stop by! The address is 464 Commonwealth Ave #13, Boston, MA 02215-2734, and here is the store website: http://www.comicopia.com/
Finally, my grandmother loved to garden — and she had the most incredible roses behind her home. Huge, lush, roses that she had cultivated for years (before the Alzheimer’s) and that continued to bloom even when they no longer had her constant touch. There’s no way to take them with me, but they were in full bloom the morning of the funeral.
