Dudes, I’m alive. And in Detroit! More signings today and tomorrow, and then I go home. Home, sweet home. I’m having a wonderful time, though. Day before we got up at four in the morning and landed ourselves a spot on Chicago’s ABC morning show—which was a huge amount of fun, especially because I’ve never seen the inside of a soundstage before. People, wires, cameras everywhere. They lined us up, the newscaster was giggly, and it lasted for all of five minutes. Then we got back on the bus, and a couple hours later the signings began! I’ll post pictures when I get home, but the store managers have been fantastic, and the Levy folks—Pam, Emily, Devar and others—have worked their tails off to make things nice and easy for us.
But yesterday, one of my friends from Clarion showed up! Dr. Phil, I love yew!
Okay, enough for now. More later.
PS: For those of you who have read Dark Dreamers and enjoyed it, thank you so much for your comments. They are much appreciated.
PPS: Another highlight from yesterday? Pam Britton seeing a Starbucks and screaming, “STAAARBUUUCKS! STOP THE BUS!” And we stopped. Ran into that place like there were flaming rats from hell chasing us, and probably scared half the people in there with the wild looks in our eyes. Crazed. Starbucks deprived. But we got our drinks, and finally, all was good in the world.
