I woke up while it was still dark out, caught a cab, and headed into downtown Beijing. Not quite dawn, but almost. A magic time in this city. Quiet, cool, with the illusion of clean air, and — dare I say it — a tremendous sense of mystery.
Of course, I ended up at Starbucks, which is not at all mysterious.
I’m working on several projects at once: finished a short story for an upcoming anthology, wrote a pitch for a project I can’t discuss (haha), worked on a script for another project I can’t talk about (double haha), and now I’m writing lettering for X-23 #19. Tonight, I’ll chomp away at a novel that will be due…eventually.
Also, amazingly (because you’d think I would have been thinking about this more than I have, which tells you something about how crazed I’ve been) I have a book coming out at the end of this month: WITHIN THE FLAMES, the latest Dirk & Steele, and Eddie’s story.
If you have questions about the novel, I’d love to answer them. Feel free to leave some in the comments, and I’ll get to them in the next day or two.
