The allergy was still working its way out of my system this morning, but hey, I made it through the day. S’all good, man. Currently I am tucked into bed like a tired little chipmunk—wild crazy party-hound that I am—but even so, at this early hour of midnight, I’m sure folks are still out exercising their party-chi like there ain’t no tomorrow. Gena, Pam, P.C.—I salute thee, fine wenches. Go shake that booty.
Had a wonderful meeting with an equally wonderful editor, and discovered that MY BIG FAT SUPERNATURAL HONEYMOON is slated for a Janurary 2008 release. Which basically means that next year I’ll have books out in January, Febuary, mid-Spring, July, August, and God only knows when else. And that doesn’t include my other special project that I can’t talk about yet. Life is good.
Other things that went on: Michelle Buonfiglio interviewed me for LifetimeTv, which was a blast. Her producer, Evan was sweet as can be, as were the camera guys and the wonderful make-up artist, who covered up the scars on my lower throat that were still lingering from my run-in with the orange samurai kitty cat. Everyone made the experience so very pleasant, I wasn’t the least bit nervous. It also helped that Sherrilyn Kenyon was there just before me, and like always, was kind, kind, so kind.
Berkely signing = BLAST. Giving away books is always fun, and the people were fantastic. And guess who showed up? Smart Bitches! Woo! Check out this post for more posing and some mighty powerful She-Ra cleavage.
Leiha and Su are so crazy sweet, and stopped by to say hi and nab loot. Got pictures, too! I love them, but I always feel like the Jolly Green Giant when I stand next to their tiny bodies.
I finally met the lovely Jane of Dear Author, and the incredibly sweet Sybil, of The Good, The Bad, and The Unread. We all sang Meljean Brook’s praises and wished she was there. Hopefully next year.
Finally, Eve Kenin is a sweetheart. Trust me on this. I am so totally looking forward to her Shomi book, which is a wild concept, man. Siberian trucker, wild.
