I’m hard at work on the next Hunter Kiss novel—but in the meantime, I’m happy to finally be offering you another story in the Dirk & Steele universe. Some years ago, I wrote a prequel to the series—originally published in the anthology, MY BIG FAT SUPERNATURAL HONEYMOON—and now, finally, I can publish it as an independent story. Where the Heart Lives is about a young woman named Lucy, set adrift in the world, who finds home and work with the golden-eyed caretaker of a small Indiana cemetery—a place surrounded by a forest thick with secrets, and a powerful force that might just steal Lucy’s soul, if she’s not careful…
