Answering just one question today.
Susan: How has it been for you, in your transition from a small book publisher (Dorchester) to the biggest (Avon)? What did your agent think about the shift?
It’s funny, but I never thought of Leisure (Dorchester) as being all that small, though I suppose it is in relation to HarperCollins/Avon. The shift was odd, but only because there was so little warning. Other than that, though, it’s been smooth sailing. My editor over at Avon is May Chen, and we had worked together on the anthology HOLIDAYS ARE HELL. That, and I know other authors and editors at HarperCollins…so the most I can say is: No problem, man. I believe my agent feels the same way.
Hey, in related news, the entire Dirk & Steele series will be made available to e-readers by June 8th—including the Kindle. I know some of you have been eager for that. I also know that the print versions have been difficult to find—the current editions are going out of print—but Avon will be repackaging and releasing the entire series, starting with TIGER EYE, in January 2011.

Via Smart Bitches Trashy Books, I saw this link to Vintage Men’s Adventure Magazines, which have some crazy headlines:
HILTER’S SEX AND DAGGER GIRLS
I WATCHED MYSELF BEING EATEN ALIVE
CANNIBAL CRABS CRAWL TO KILL
MAN-HUNGRY HUSSY OF SHE-DEVIL ISLAND
I BATTLED A GIANT OTTER
“SEX STORMS” LASH OUR PRISONS
GENTLE SLAUGHTER OF THE VIRGIN BRIDE
MASCULINE INADEQUACIES DRIVE WOMEN NUTS!
I suddenly feel the urge to write a story about sex and dagger girls, giant otters, and man-hungry hussies. Hoo-rah.
