…and it’s called ‘Flashpoint’ by Suzanne Brockmann. Ms. Brockmann is a prolific writer, and is famous for romance novels that star Navy SEALS and the women who love them. In anyone else’s hands, this could get old, and fast. I mean, there’s only so much you can do with book after book of “I’m a super cool alpha male…now take your clothes off”. Right? Right?
Wrong. I’m not saying every one of her books is excellent, but Ms. Brockman manages to write main and supporting characters who are complex, interesting, and funny as hell. She’s good, and ‘Flashpoint’ is an example of why she’s a major player in the romance market. It’s an entertaining read, from start to finish—I never once wanted to put this book down, nor did I feel the urge to skip pages and get to the good parts. ‘Flashpoint’ is the 7th or 8th book in a series following the romantic adventures of a particular group of Navy SEALS. You certainly don’t have to read the entire series to understand what’s going on, but I can almost guarantee you’ll want to after you read ‘Flashpoint’.
Enjoy!
