Hello, Chicago. I’m here for the annual meeting of the American Library Association; my first time, ever. Tomorrow, Sunday, I’ll be on a panel with two of my favorite authors – Charlaine Harris and Charlie Huston. What a crazy lovely life I lead. To attend you must be a member of ALA and a registered attendee, but I’m going to try and take pictures.
Sunday 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
McCormick Place West, W-190A
Things That Go Bump in the Stacks:
Whole Collection Advisory for Paranormal Fiction
Come discuss best practices for helping patrons find paranormal materials they can really sink their teeth into. This program focuses on understanding the appeal of the genre and helping fans find materials throughout the library. Event panel moderated by Neil Hollands includes genre authors Charlaine Harris, Charlie Huston and Marjorie Liu.
Afterward, we’ll be at the Penguin booth (#2020) from 1:30 to 2:30, signing books.
Now, I’m going to curl up for a brief moment, and think about the story I’m working on. Daisy, in the meantime, will continue recovering from a long day in the car. It’s exhausting being so adorable.
