NY FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS – FISCAL SPONSORSHIP
http://www.nyfa.org/level2.asp?id=44&fid=1&sid=40
—
Individual artists and emerging organizations face genuine obstacles when seeking the funding necessary to continue and complete their work. Often they are hindered by the legal status of the project, as most foundations or corporate funders restrict grants to tax-exempt organizations. Similarly, potential individual donors need the tax incentive of a charitable contribution before they will support an arts project. NYFA offers qualified artist projects fiscal sponsorship – a mechanism widely used by the nonprofit sector – to overcome these obstacles and meet the needs of individual artists and emerging organizations pursuing nonprofit goals. Not limited to residents of NY.

JOSH-GREENE MINI-GRANTS
http://josh-greene.com/serviceworks/
—
The amount of each month’s grant is determined by how much money I make in a specified night of work at the restaurant. On average I walk home with $200. Please keep in mind, sometimes it’s less, sometimes it’s more. The application process is quite simple. You write a paragraph or two explaining your proposed project. An itemized budget is also required. I do not provide funds for the completion of projects that are already in progress. I am interested in creating a direct relationship between my work in the restaurant and an artist’s work so it is important that the project you propose is based upon my average nightly income of $200. It is also vital that your project can be started and completed within about three weeks. Projects with budgets over $300 will not be considered.
