3. Fiona Avery – Fantasy Novelist
4. Storytellers Unplugged – Horror and Fantasy Novelists
5. Michael Bay – movie director
I just tucked Lucky in. He has a foam mattress covered in sherpa, with pillows and toys scattered all around him. He also has an insulated dog house, the interior of which is supposed to stay at 74 degrees year round. Good life for a former stray, though I think some of the neighbors way up the road might disagree. They’ve suggested that we give him back his freedom. Meaning, let him run willy nilly.
Yeah, right. Lucky is a master car chaser, but he’s already been hit twice and if he gets rolled again, I don’t think he’ll make it. And he hasn’t learned his lesson. He still wants to eat rubber. So, we keep him confined to the porch now and take him for long walks on the leash. In the beginning, I thought he would chafe at the control, but instead he seems to relish the enforced closeness. He knows he’s loved.
This picture was taken last Fall. He thinks he’s a little dog.
I know I said I would talk about Dark Dreamers, and I will. But it’s a hard story to blog about. I wrote it quickly, with great intensity, and the storyline is not the kind of thing that is easy to discuss. But here’s a clue, and another, and another.
