A word about BLACK WIDOW.
14 Jun
Yes, I’m leaving Black Widow. I feel sad about it, as I love writing Natasha (and working with Daniel Acuna, who is genius)—but the truth of the matter is that I also write three or four novels a year. This year, that number could jump to five. Plus, there’s Dark Wolverine, and I’ve committed to a full year of X-23. That’s a lot of writing.
I would, however, like to clarify something: I was up front with Marvel when they asked me to write Black Widow. It was always the plan that I would develop only the first arc. I told them from the beginning that I didn’t have time for anything more.
I’m thrilled, though, that Duane is taking over the book. He’s one of my favorite writers, and if you aren’t reading his novels—and his comic book work—then you are depriving yourself of a wonderful storyteller.
That said, check out the previews for both Black Widow #3 and Dark Wolverine #87! Coming out this Wednesday (on my birthday, no less).

Man, I dunno how you manage it. I’ve got my hands full just with writing the books-adding in something else? Yikes…
Happy birthday
Very sad to hear you’re leaving. I just found out today while reading the Marvel solicitations. I’ll give the book a try with Duane, but a big part of why I loved it was you.
