Maika Halfwolf is gone—or so it seems. Despite their long history, Maika’s best friend Tuya fulfilled her sworn duty as the Baroness of the Last Dusk and injected Maika with a powerful serum. That serum promised to destroy Maika’s mind and leave her body—and the powers of Zinn, the Monstrum inside Maika—in the control of the Dusk Court.

But Maika is not without allies, and those allies—especially the young, optimistic Kippa—are not willing to leave her for dead. More importantly, Maika herself is not ready to give up. Trapped within her own mind, it’s time for Maika, with the help of Zinn and their newfound symbiosis, to fight her hardest battle yet.
