Book rec: Cold Fire by Dean Koontz. I really enjoyed this book, despite several small logical weaknesses that didn’t bother me until I was done and started thinking hard about the story. I won’t go into them. It’s impossible to talk about Cold Fire and not give away spoilers. Which is what I like about Koontz. I don’t know anything about what the critics think of him, but I don’t care nuthin’ ‘bout them. Koontz is entertaining because you can’t predict his storylines – the only thing you can ever count on is the fundamental goodness of his main characters. And that’s cool. He takes you on a wild ride. I hope I manage to do the same in my own books, but I don’t think I’m there yet.
