Today I’m the featured guestblogger at Idea Boutique, so please, feel free to visit!
I’ve got a deadline on Friday, so I’m basically tucked inside working hard and listening to some Chris Botti and Zucchero, both of whom seem to have the vibe I need for this short story.
Pictures of the day comes fresh from the largest Catholic church in Shanghai. I believe that it was built in 1910, and it’s right down the street from where my parents have their apartment. Some doofus put up a big neon sign right next to it, though. Very classy.
And cold, people! I never thought about Shanghai being chilly, but the temperatures have been hovering in the forties and fifties, and there’s no real heating inside any of these homes, ours included. The street shops selling long underwear are doing brisk business.
And here are some shots of Shanghai at dusk along just one of the shopping districts (there are several, with Shanghai running the reputation of being one big mall).
