I had such a wonderful time in New York, between seeing old friends, new friends, and checking out the beautiful glory of BEA, which is a booklover’s paradise. New York was beautiful, too.
To everyone who stopped by the Dorchester booth, thank you!

One of my wonderful and supportive readers, Alecia.
So, I’m standing there signing away and this wonderful woman comes over, introduces herself, and says she’s been reading my stuff since the fanfiction days—which was more cool than I can say. And then she introduces her friend, Naomi Novik, at which point I lost my mind. I can’t entirely remember what I said, but I hope it wasn’t unforgivably stupid. Either way, the two of them were incredibly nice, and man, what a pleasure.
C.L. Wilson, author of an incredible new fantasy series that is coming out this fall. She and I signed together, and she was lovely to be around.
A pigeon who was also checking out the, um, books at the conference.
The Slush God himself, and my editor, Chris Keeslar.
Sunset over the Hudson River.
Anyway, I’m home and tired. Time for bed.
