I’ve been in China for the past four weeks, and it has flown by. I meant to do so much while I was here (I finished the Dirk & Steele novel, so that’s something), but when you’re writing and in your routine, you lose track of time. This weekend we’re heading to Shandong to see my grandmother’s old hometown, and then we’re driving a good little distance to visit the tomb of my great-grandparents and great-aunt, which is located near the Shaolin Temple. The picture below is from the grave site, taken this winter when other family members visited. Those are my great-grandparents.
Some news:
THE FIRE KING and my novella, “The Robber Bride”, are both up for RITA awards. I had already planned on going to Nashville for RWA, but I guess this means I’m packing high heels, too.
In about three weeks, I’ll be at the C2E2 convention in Chicago. There will be signings, though I don’t know when. The panel schedule is live, however. I’m on 3 panels: MONDO Marvel (Fri, 4:15), Women of Marvel (Sat, 11:45), X-Men (Sun, 2:45). Here’s the link for more details.
The ENTIRE Dirk & Steele series is going to be reissued by Avon with new covers. What this means is that all the old editions will be going out of print and disappearing from book shelves. TIGER EYE, SHADOW TOUCH, and THE RED HEART OF JADE are coming out first in January, February, and March 2011.
All of you want to know what’s up with the Kindle versions of the Dirk & Steele series. My answer: I have no clue. I have no control over that, but I’m 100% positive that they will released for the Kindle. Eventually.
