I’m home. I got home yesterday or the day before, or some time in the past fourty-eight-or-so hours, and I’m tired, tired, tired, but there is a book still to finish and I will get it done. Hard work will prevail over all. Woof.
I left Seattle without saying hello to or seeing a lot of people that I had intended to spend time with. That bothers me to no end, but one of the highlights of my last day in the city was spending the afternoon with Cherie Priest, who is even more remarkable in person than she is on the page—some feat, because her writing and storytelling are extraordinary.
As for the plane ride—no sweat there, though I give most of the credit to Lynn Viehl’s new book of the Darkyn, which I read during the flight. It’s called Dark Need and is so _____ good that I feel the need to use an indecent adjective.
