I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but I had a hankering for some good old dark brew this morning—plus, it was cold, sunny, and lovely out—so I hopped into the car with Daisy and trucked on down to Dairy Queen for the drive-through (me, hardly being decent in a big sweatshirt and pajama bottoms).
Procrastination? Nah. This is gearing up. I have today and tomorrow to make the final push on these revisions.
So, now I am tucked firmly in bed with the laptop as an extra heater (because those Macs are HOT!), a stuck key (the “W” needs an extra punch), and coffee at my side. If you don’t hear from me for the next day or so, it’s because I will be cocooned in this exact position until the edits are done, done, done. Hopefully, mummification will not occur. Hopefully, rats will not build nests in my wild and untamed hair. Hopefully, the cats will not burn down the house (which they tried to do last night, but that’s another story). And, hopefully, the book will be polished until it is shiny.
I hope, too, that all of you have a great weekend!
