And yes, I know I should not be so willing to switch blogs, willy-nilly, but the whole Mac thing is having major technical difficulties, preventing me from updating, and I don’t know when they’ll be cleared up. Tonight? Tomorrow? Next week? I’ll probably have to revert once I travel to China for the Olympics, but until then…back to LiveJournal? Or will something else be in place at that point?
Heres a piece of weird Olympic news. My dad heard on the radio this morning that unless you have a ticket to the Olympics, you can no longer buy an airplane ticket to fly into Beijing during the Games. Does this include flying into Beijing from outside the country? Within the country? What? Hello? No doubt this is the result of the real and true fear of a concerted terrorist attack, but man, is this the real Forbidden City?
There seem to be an overabundance of question marks in this post.
Anyway, I was in Columbus yesterday at the Ohio Librarians Reference and Adult Services Conference, and it was huge fun. I gave a small and rambling talk about the challenges of writing Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy (co-presenting with a friend), and gave away a pile of books. Everyone was tremendously kind, and very interested in the topic. I love librarians.
