COCA-COLA BIG IDEA CONTEST
http://www.adcandy.com/brainContestDetail.asp?id=87
—
Coke’s new president of marketing recently rejected their agency’s proposed marketing ideas. Frustrated, they have recently invited eight top agencies to come up with ideas for them. Somehow in their exuberance, they forgot to invite Adcandy to the party. An egregious oversight, but in the spirit of party-crashers everywhere, we’re going to bum rush the show.
For this contest, we’re going to up the ante with 5 prizes. First prize will be $500!, plus more prizes. Coke is in no way sponsoring or endorsing this contest, but we’re not going to let that stop us. Here’s a quote we love and live by: “Those who ask permission seek denial.”
We’re going to let the creativity fly here. You can submit ANYTHING that you think can improve or extend Coke’s marketing efforts: Concepts, sponsorships, product improvement ideas, marketing ideas, slogans, new product ideas, licensing ideas etc. We’ve extended the character limit so you submit more
developed ideas.
First Prize: $500
Second Prize: $250
Third Prize: $100
Fourth Prize: $75
Fifth Prize: $50
In addition, we will try to sell the ENTIRE CONTEST ENTRY DATA to Coke. In the event that they buy the data, we will split our profit with our top twenty submissions. Deadline November 30, 2005. 750-word limit.

P.S. Watched Stargate tonight. Was not so impressed. Am saddened by this. Thought Stargate Atlantis was much, much, better. It really all comes down to cast chemistry, and at the moment, SG1 is still trying to find some.
